More about me

Stan Blits

Stan Blits is currently Co-Producer of The Price Is Right. After graduating Cum Laude from the University of Southern California in Television Broadcasting, he spent a good year begging and pleading to be a red-coated page at CBS TV City.  Eventually, after having gotten to know the folks of the Price staff, he was taken on as a “runner/gofer” on the show, doing everything from loading game graphics into the show’s games, to loading sandwiches into the bellies of the Producers.  After a few years, he became Music Director for all of Goodson Todman Productions game shows, and took on the task of creating showcase sketches for Price.

After twenty-five years, he became contestant coordinator as well, which brings him to his current position of filling the bellies of contestants with butterflies and filling their day with screaming, yelling, and the chance to elevate them into an unthinkable tax bracket.  His current book, “Come On Down, Behind the Big Doors At The Price Is Right," which is a backstage account of his twenty-nine years on the show, is now available at book stores, which Stan prays will elevate his tax bracket as well.

Loved the book. I'm gonna have you sign it next time I see you! Hopefully I'll have better luck next time getting selected. You really do pick the best contestants though!

Hiya, Stan. I just read the book. It's a fantastic read, and in many chapters, an absolute riot! It really shows how much hard work goes into a quality show. Hope to meet you one day outside the studio!

Hey Stan. I've been a fan ever since you became Musical Director at Goodson Todman. We even chatted many moons ago on the phone about some music. You were really nice to me and I can't imagine that you are any different these days. Keep up the great work Stan.

Stan interviewed me when I went to the October 19-20, 2004 tapings. He was great and he was great with all the audience members. I was not chosen as a contestant, but I was happy just to be there. Now with Barker retired now, I'm glad just to see a taping with him hosing. Hope to see a Carey taping and I know Stan will be just as great.
