The contestant is shown 9 separate cards on a board on each of which is written one pair of numbers. One of these 9 pairs is the front pair of the 4 digits of the price of a described car (or other major prize) while another of the 9 pairs is the last pair of the 4 digits of the price of the car.

The contestant selects one pair of numbers at a time until either: a) contestant has selected both the first and last pairs of the price of the item, in which case the contestant wins, or b) the contestant has otherwise made 4 selections, in which case the item is not won.

In either event, the contestant is awarded the dollar equivalent of the total of numbers selected in all incorrect guesses.
