The Hole In One game logo

A long putting green is set up with a hole at one end. The long green is marked off by lines of equal distance. Six grocery items are shown and described. The contestant must grade the six items according to price, starting furthest away from the hole for the lowest in price, and placing that at the first line.

After the items are placed low to high, the host reads off the first price at the first line, then he reads the second price at the second line. If the second is higher in price than the first, he moves onto the third item. If the third is higher in price than the second, moves onto the fourth item, stopping only when the ball is at the sixth line or when the revealed price is not higher than the preceding price.

The contestant then has two shots to putt the ball into the hole for a major prize (a car). In other words, the more correct the contestant is in grading prizes from low to high, the closer to the cup the player is and the better his or her chances are of sinking the putt. The contestant also gets $500 if he reaches the sixth line.
