The game is played for a prize which can reach as much as $10,000 in cash.

The game is played with six grocery items which are shown and described.

The contestant is advised that four of the items are under a target figure in price and two of the items are over the target figure in price. (The target figure may change from game to game depending on the prices of the six items involved.)

The contestant starts off with $1.00 to his or her credit. As long as the contestant continues to select items that are below the target figure, he continues to win. Each win moves the digit "1" one space to the left. For example: on the first correct guess, the "1" in $1.00 moves left to become $10.00. On the next correct guess, the "1" in $10.00 moves left to become $100.00. On the third correct guess, the "1" in $100.00 moves left to become $1000.00. Up to this point, if the contestant is wrong, he leaves with the money that already shows. At $1000, the contestant has a choice of leaving with the $1000.00 or risking it to try for $10,000. If the fourth guess is correct, the "1" in $1000 moves left to become $10,000. The contestant is a winner and the game is over. If the fourth guess is incorrect, the correct item is shown, and the contestant leaves with nothing.
