The reward for winning this game is a major prize or a prize package.

The game is played on a graphic representation of a mountain which ascents to an abrupt cliff. At the base of the mountain stands a mountain climber whose pick axe marks his position on the mountain. The mountain is divided into steps from the base up to the edge of the cliff. There are 25 steps in all.

The object of the game is to prevent the climber from climbing the mountain and falling off the cliff.

Three minor items are shown and described. Then, the contestant estimates the price of one item. If the contestant gets the price right on the nose, the climber stays in position. If the price is wrong, the climber climbs the mountain one step for each dollar difference between the actual retail price of the minor item and the contestant's estimation.

After each minor prize is played, its confirming price is revealed. The contestant wins any minor prize which results in the climber remaining on the mountain.

If, after all three prizes are played, the climber is still on the mountain, the contestant is a winner. If the climber climbs the mountain and falls off the cliff, the contestant is a loser, getting only any minor prizes the contestant has won up to the point of the fall.
