Bonus Spin in showcase showdown

During the barker era there were 3 1,000 dollar winners in the 90's. Heres the big question how come we don't see that many these days even now that were in the carey era now?

The only thing I can't stand, is why they changed the font? I STILL can't stand those NASCAR numbers. Maybe these numbers shifted the wheel's center of gravity, producing fewer dollar spins. :)

I agree with TPIRLover that your posting is not very specific. I honestly feel like there are more $1,000 dollar winners in the spinning, but perhaps that's because I watch the show more now...duh! I was thinking they should give contestants the money amount from whatever they spin even if they lose or go over. So if a contestant got 80 but still lost at least they'd get $80. Just like that one game when contestants get a chance win a car, but I can't recall the name…grr

There were more than 3 $1,000 winners in the 90s. Much more. Did you mean 3 $1,000 winners in the same Showcase Showdown? If you did, then we don't see it because it is VERY rare. If you meant why we don't see many $1,000 winners in the Drew Carey era, then I guess it has to do with luck--how hard a contestant spins the wheel, where it starts, etc. However, there have been plenty of $1,000 winners in the Drew Carey era, much more than 3, especially during Season 36.
