NEPOTISM lives at TPIR

Just heard over on GR.Net that the first auditioner for Rich's position is none other than a close friend of EP Mike Richards! JD Roberto? I have read this man's bio,.. he is not an "improv comedian",... nor is he even an announcer or voice over professional. WHY WOULD YOU DO THIS? Nothing personal against this guy, but he is not a qualified replacement for this position.

You remove your beloved announcer of 7 seasons, for seemingly no good reason, and you have no one better lined up than a "friend" of the producer?

You guys are really sickening. You dump someone as talented and dedicated to the show as Rich, someone whom you know has many dedicated fans. And replace him with an unqualified "friend" of the new Executive Producer Mike Richards?

Something really STINKS at TPIR!

Can anyone say "NEPOTISM"?

I'll tell all of y'all this:  Jeff Davis and Brad Sherwood are improv comics, but JD Roberto is just a freakin' TV personality.  I've only seen a few of his works, especially Shop 'til You Drop, but I don't know if he'll become a great announcer.  Kind of makes you wonder how Mike became producer instead of host before Drew came along.

Nepotism is nothing new at Price is Right. When it was a "Mark Goodson Production," it was rampant, and it's rampant now. Welcome to the world of "HUMAN NATURE".

Well what do you expect from a STUPID producer like Mike Richards who doesn't know anything about handling a successful show like TPIR? He fires Rich Fields, a very talented announcer, then wants an improv comic to take the announcer position, but instead gives the job to one of his close friends! It's like politics: CORRUPT! Mike, you might as well by a politician!!

The only correct answer to that question, Andrew, which I was not directing towards you, is "no".

Yes - until someone important reads them, we're going to post these threads anywhere we like. It's already starting to make its way onto Kathy's blogs...without my help once again. Mike Richards has absolutely no clue what to do: not because he's supposedly hiring an improv comedian, which doesn't belong...but because JD IS NOT EVEN AN IMPROV COMEDIAN! So we were LIED TO?!

TPIRShare, is it really necessary for you to post your threads twice, on two different boards?
