Since you say you "love" suggestions, here's one for you:

BRING BACK RICH FIELDS BEFORE YOU TOTALLY RUIN THE SHOW, and stop changing things that work!

This suggestion works like this. Call him back immediately, apologize to him and the fans for your massive "short-sightedness", and admit what a huge part of the show he is/was.  Put him back on stage 33 with Drew where he belongs, before another horrid show tapes with a "comic announcer".  Swallow your  pride and save what is left of the show.

I don't know what you guys can be thinking, but the show will NEVER be the same without Rich.  It's plain to see that Drew relied on him heavily, and needed him to keep the show going.  Without Rich, I predict Drew will be lost, the chemistry will be lost, Drew and the new announcer will be stepping on each other all the time.  The whole sound, timber and flow of the show will be gone forever.  Certainly you must have seen this by now that you have a couple weeks with a "stand in" announcer!  Removing Rich makes no sense.  This is a specialized position, and one that Rich has said he studied for years watching Johnny Olson and Rod Roddy before him. Plus he had Bob Barker to train him on stage.
This new person will not have Bob, he will not have studied anyone who was a real professional announcer at this job.  Improv comics will NEVER get this right.
I sincerely hope whoever made this decision is held accountable for sinking the ship of a 38 year tradition. 

One more suggestion... Get rid of Mike Richards, ...the show has gone downhill ever since he came on board.
